Self-reflection. . .
We look in a mirror almost every day. Some love what they see without need for masking. They are the same authentic person inside and out. Others seek out each and every blemish or negative thought. This group is often full of self-doubt and lack of confidence because of negative self-thought or believe what others have said against them.
I think we are a bit of both depending on the day. I know if you catch me, most days I am fully on my game and I see only the good and beautiful parts of me. Others, not so much. The important thing in this message is that we often distort what is true and real. We give too much power to the thoughts of others and what we consider perfection.
What do you see?
Who do you see?
What words do you give power to when you start your day?
Be strong and see your good in personal and professional endeavors. Don't reflect only on the negative. Strive to see the best in you and love being perfectly imperfect. We learn so much from our imperfections and become better versions of ourselves because of the lessons learned, resilience built, and compassion gained through the experience.
New year, same me. One Week in and a lifetime to go.
